Windsor Secondary School wins 2015 People’s Choice Award following JABC Innovation Jam 2015

February 25, 2015

Junior Achievement of British Columbia (JABC) is pleased to announce that the winner of the 2015 People’s Choice Award is Windsor Secondary School from North Vancouver!

The People’s Choice contest was a four-week long social media challenge that followed JABC Innovation Jam 2015. 20 student teams at JABC Innovation Jam 2015 had to come up with a social enterprise and pitch it to a panel of judges. The pitches were recorded and posted to JABC’s YouTube page. All teams then had to use their marketing and social media skills to promote their videos and generate the most likes. The contest ran from January 21 to February 18.

Honourable Mention goes to Britannia Secondary School in Vancouver who came in a very close second! It was a very tight race in the final few days of the contest but Windsor managed to come out on top.

The videos are all available for viewing on JABC’s YouTube page:  https://www.youtube.com/user/JuniorAchievementBC

The overall winner of JABC Innovation Jam 2015 will be announced at the Business Laureates of British Columbia Hall of Fame Gala Dinner & Induction Ceremonies on May 20, 2015.
