Junior Achievement of British Columbia (JABC) is pleased to announce that West Vancouver Community Foundation has donated $2,000 in support of business education programs for youth in West Vancouver.  Their contribution will go towards Business Basics: A Business of Our Own, a Junior Achievement program in which elementary school students learn about basic business concepts such as management, finance, production and marketing. Students run their own business while building their skills in language, communication, numeracy, math, critical thinking, problem-solving, creative thinking and decision-making.
The West Vancouver Community Foundation represents the value that individuals, families and businesses place on West Vancouver, its heritage, its people and its communities. Since 1979, when the foundation was started, donors have helped create a charitable endowment of over $3.5 million, the income from which supports non-profit organizations, community projects and scholarships, today and into the future.
JABC is grateful for West Vancouver Community Foundation’s support over the past four year. Their contribution this year will help provide greater opportunities for West Vancouver’s youth to access Junior Achievement programs.
