JABC Wins Funding from Discovery Foundation for New Skills Program
As part of their 2018 Technology Education Programs competition, the Discovery Foundation will award $20,000 to JA British Columbia to fund a pilot program called Discovery Foundation’s JA Success Skills Program.
The Discovery Foundation’s JA Success Skills Program will be delivered to grade 9 and 10 students in the Lower Mainland who recently attended JABC Techworks in January, 2018. Taught by local volunteers in a classroom setting, this program will help students develop important communication, collaboration, personal and problem solving skills to better prepare them for higher education and their future careers.
The Discovery Foundation is committed to the development and sustainability of the science and technology sector in BC. Read about the winners of the 2018 Technology Education Programs here.
