October 29, 2020- FortisBC is providing $10,000 to help fund JABC TechWorks for the 2020-21 school year.
Their investment will help support the transition of the in-person JABC TechWorks program, which FortisBC supported in 2019-20, to a province-wide virtual delivery format for 2020-21. FortisBC’s financial backing will enable greater access to this important program that stimulates and inspires students in Grades 9-12 to explore careers related to technology and plan their future education and career pathways.
JABC’s goal with JABC TechWorks in the 2020-21 school year is to reach nearly 2,000 students province-wide. The program will be provided free of charge thanks to JABC sponsors and donors and will run early February 2021 to until late March 2021.
