Inaugural JABC TechWorks Victoria Introduces Students to Career Possibilities in the Tech Sector

December 5, 2018 –  JA British Columbia (JABC) hosted its inaugural JABC TechWorks Victoria, a full day program that presented local grade 9 and 10 students with a variety of career options in the flourishing technology sector. JABC TechWorks has been held twice in Vancouver.

300 students from high schools around Victoria attended this full-day event at the Victoria Conference Centre. The morning program involved stimulating speakers, demos and several interactive periods where students had to vote or answer questions using their smartphones. The afternoon program consisted of breakout sessions that students had pre-selected according to their interests.
