Meet alumni Fred Withers, a member of JA British Columbia’s Board of Directors.

Fred was involved in the JA Company Program in High School in Trail, BC. See this video about his experience.

How JA influenced him:  “It helped me in my career path because it unlocked an interest that turned out to be an aptitude in the areas of finance and accounting. It lead me to pursue a degree at the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia.”

Fred volunteers his time as a member of the JABC Board of Directors, the governing body of JA British Columbia. His advice to young people: “Financial literacy skills are so important no matter what you do in your life. The financial literacy skills you learn in JA programs will stand you in good stead for all of your life.”

Thank you Fred for giving back to JA!

Are you a former Junior Achiever?  We want to hear from you! We are collecting stories from British Columbians who feel JA positively influenced their life or career. Tell us your Story.
