May 2, 2018– KLICK has been selected to give the Junior Entrepreneur Presentation at the 2018 Business Laureates of BC Gala on May 8th, 2018.

This JA Student Company was formed by 14 business-minded secondary school students from across the Lower Mainland who brought their innovative idea to life through the JA Company Program.

These young entrepreneurs developed a product to solve an issue that many cyclists face every day – road safety. Their bike signalling device, with LED light indicators, allows cyclists to reinforce their signal turns for better road communication. Each product is hand-made and assembled by students.

In March, KLICK received some impressive local recognition for their efforts. The company won the Junior Category at the Simon Fraser University Opportunity Fest Competition, an event that showcases student innovators and entrepreneurs.

Company Program is an entrepreneurial and career building program that provides students in senior high school the opportunity to meet on a regular basis with mentors from the business community.

Over the course of sixteen weeks, the students will take an actual product or service all the way from brainstorming through development to marketing and sales. Along the way, the students will learn about finance, business plans and the roles to be played in a company, among many other aspects of running a business. For many students, participating in the Company Program has a profound influence on their career path and their lives.
