September 15, 2022- JA British Columbia is very pleased to be supporting Bears’ Lair Youth Dream Camp. This three-day camp in communities around B.C. provides Indigenous youth aged 12-18 with an opportunity to learn about the world of small business, life as an entrepreneur and ways to pave their own path to self-reliance. JABC is providing program materials for the camps.

“Bears’ Lair TV would like to thank and honour JA British Columbia for their Dream Camp Sponsorship. With their generous support, a Dream Camp will be held to showcase and partner with Indigenous youth and to amplify entrepreneurism within a community,” said Geena Jackson, of Bears’ Lair TV.

“Together with JA British Columbia we work towards our vision of economic Reconciliation, we will create and strengthen relationships that shape a dynamic, community-driven network of people, programs and resources to support Indigenous entrepreneurs at every stage of their business lifecycle starting with our Indigenous youth.”

Many of the resources for Dream Camp are contributed by the 18 contestants from Season One of Bears’ Lair TV, a reality TV series that follows the journeys of Indigenous entrepreneurs as they pitch their plans to a panel of Indigenous business moguls and guest judges. This seven-episode show is airing in September and October 2022.
