Educator Training Dates: TBD
Through a hands-on educational platform, students have the opportunity to develop coding skills from basic to professional. Students move through the program at their own pace with fun quizzes to help measure their understanding of concepts.
Teachers can manage their students’ coding progress without requiring any programming experience themselves.
Logics Academy provides a hands-on introduction to the RoboGarden platform and program outline through two one-hour teacher training sessions on March 7 and April 4, 2023. In addition, teachers receive free one-to-one support throughout the program and access to the RoboGarden software for one year.
After completing this program, students will have:
-
Learned block-based programming
-
Developed computational, critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills
-
Begun preparing themselves for the digital requirements of their future work world
Like other JA programs, RoboGarden is student-centred and skills-focused. This program takes approximately ten weeks. This includes one-hour per week of teacher-led instruction plus additional student playtime.
